World's End (2012)
In a dystopic land, a soldier wakes up with no recollections of his past. His memories gradually return but are delusive, making him intensely depressed. Two cataclysmic events are occurring simultaneously: a war and a natural disaster. The soldier's hallucinations depict this conflict among people as being a judgment by Mother Nature, and she responds to their war with a natural disaster. Finally, it is revealed that the war is actually meaningless. This film was inspired by an area called World's End, which is located at Horton Plain National Park in Sri Lanka. The name of this place, World's End, is also related to the presumed ending of the world in 2012.
